Whoo Surfing on the E Train while being NOT Drunk... Irish!
Friday The 13th was the best spontaneous trip to the city ever! It all started when Meg (Hinkline) called me up Thursday and was like what are you doing tomorrow? I was like nothing... She was like don't you have school? I was like fuck school where are we going?! She was like I wanted to go see Damien in the city do you want to come and I was like YEAH! Ok so now its Friday and after we went to Brook Dale to give Mike back his wallet, and went to Toys R Us to cash my check we made our way to the Gordon’s Corner Bus Stop, paid homage to Wawa, had a nice chat w/ the ticket lady, we finally got on the bus. {{Riding Bus}} Ok we got off the bus and made our way down to the main entrance of the Port Authority and we waited around a little for Damien. Meg called him but there was no answer so we figured he was on his way and was in the subway or something. So we walked around for a little bit and making our way up 42nd St. we were attacked by Ashley. She is this girl who kept trying to sell us tickets to the NY Comedy Club....which we didn't want. So we finally got away from her and made it back to the PA to wait for Damien. We waited against a random Ralph Kramden (from the Honeymooners) Statue?! Any way Damian showed up w/ his friend Stu who I might ad is very cute! Ok what now... both of them had like no money so they suggested taking a walk through Central Park...Uh…Ok now mind you it's windy and COLD as hell outside. We ended up walking and Bull Shiting for hours only turn around and retrace our steps so we could find the city part again. {{Walking...}} Ok now we made it back to I think 57th street from like 73rd street or something. Now what... Lets take the sub way to the village. Ok we found an entrance to the E train, bought our Metro cards, and got on. Now I have never been on the subway and i wasn't aware that if you weren't sitting that you NEEDED to hold on to something. The train started and I slammed right into Damien He became my support until i fond the bar w/ Meg next to the "dead guy" God I hope he was just sleeping. The subway is a lot like surfing.... I hate surfing! {{Surfs on the subway}} Ok we made it to the village....now what? More walking and Bull Shiting until Meg wants Ice Cream. THANK GOD! We got to sit down and then Damian and Stu tells us about the Sausage Fest this guys wanted to have on Hallmark Day... (Drunk depressed guys on V-Day w/ no girls could be bad!) The ice cream break was over and it was time to walk around some more! JOY! We walked in circles until we found the subway station we got off at. We got back on and surfed to 42nd street where we have to left them b/c they had something to do and then had to go back to school (St. Johns). It was really creepy b/c as soon as we were saying goodbye we heard a violin playing…{{Que Twilight Zone Music}} Any who our feet hurt so bad and we are starving! I have never walked around so much and at such a fast pace in my life! God those boys walk so fast! We spotted a MacDonald’s and made a B-Line for it! There we got food and peed! Now the only thing we had done all day was walk around so Meg and I wanted to do some good hard sitting on our asses but we didn't want to go home... Lets see if we could get rush tickets to something. We walk to 51st street to see if we could go see Wicked but there were no more tickets so now what? Little Shop was only one street over so we went there. They did have tickets but nothing was together so we are like well how much are they and how far apart will we be? The guys was like $26 and change each and you will only be one row apart from each other. We were like…Uh… where are these seats? He showed us a diagram which we thought was the Mezz seats but it was actually a blown up version of the Orch. The seats looked close to the front of Mezz… so we thought so we went for it and bought the tickets. We flipped a coin to see who gets the closer seat and I ended up getting the closer seat. Now the show doesn't start for 2 hours so we sat down in the lobby and played crazy eights. Time goes by and the doors open. Meg peed and I bought a program. We went to get seated and we head to the Mezz lady but she told us to go to another lady. We did she looke3d at out tickets and she started to lead us farther to the front of the Orch seats. Now we are at the front....Oh Man! I sat 3rd seat in, in the front row of the left Orch and Meg sat 3rd seat in, in the 3rd roe. I turn around to her and just started smacking the stage and was like oh man! Oh Man Stage! Never in my life have I ever been that close. So I we start talking to each other about the lights and the scrim and shit. The lady sitting next to Meg starts to wonder why we are sitting apart from each other if we know if we know each other so we explain the story and she was like if you don't mind how much did you guys pay for your tickets. We were like $26 and change and she was like Oh My God I paid $150 each. We secretly were like hahahahahahahha $26 and change baby Oh Man! Through out the show I saw up the black girls skirts ( way more than I ever wanted too). The guy who played Seymour scared the crap out of me b/c he made the plant knock the trash can lid off the trash can and it came right at my head but the lid was on a chain so it retracted. The craziest part was he knew he scared me and all I heard was Meg laughing and all I saw was him not trying not to break Character cuz he thought it was funny too. The guy who played Audrey's Boyfriend/ motorcycle riding dentist spit so much during the show when he came by me i was like please go away! Also after the plant eats the dentist character the actor (Doug Stills) becomes other different minor characters. There is a part where Seymour is talking to one of these minor characters and Seymour has a soliloquy. The minor character is then stuck in the shadows right in front of me. I'm trying not to stare at him cuz he is staring me right in the face and making faces at me in the shadows he was very distracting and knew I couldn‘t help looking at him and laughing at him. The end was the best, the plant grew to be the size of the stage and at the very end it stretched out like 7 rows into the crowd and started to move around like pretending to eat people. It was the coolest thing ever! Ok the show ends and Meg and I decide to hit up the stage door to see if we can meet people. We met the entire Original Broadway cast of Little Shop Of Horrors! Oh Man! It was so cool and they were so nice. The Craziest guy was Doug Stills the one who was the dentist, he was as Gay as the day is long! He was so funny, and he was gave acting advice and was making fun of these people form California. All in all it was the best random trip to the city ever! The Next Friday the 13th is in August Meg … Lets hit up the city. To Damien and Stu I Hope Nothing bad happened at the Sausage Fest. To every one Else GO SEE LITTLE SHOP!
