Blah blah.

Definitely getting more confident with the whole LJ thing. I wasn't going to make any posts in here except for fics, and then I realised that a lot of the time the people that I've friended are people whose posts are interesting in and of themselves, regardless of whether they contain fic or not. So I thought I'd get into the habit of doing the ( Read more... )

Oh, don't be shy, new friend! I've noticed we have at least three things in common, so I had to friend you back ;-) First, the tulip. Since alchemia said I write like a tulip (in opposition to roses), the tulip is my symbol. Second, the captain! (Take a look at the "comment" link on my lj.) And third, of course, Teh Snarry!

I'm sorry I'm not reading your story, but look, I'm not reading any fics lately, nor even the olympics. I've been working hard and trying to keep writing - I can't write and read right now. But I read all my lj-friends posts, every day, and I post frequently, mostly about Snarry, Snape, translation and meta.

Excuse my English mistakes. I'm Brazilian.

Welcome!

*waves* Thank you for the warm welcome! I'm afraid my tulip story is much too long - maybe we'll save it for a rainy day. The captain one is also quite long, involving things like moustaches and swords and bursting open dresses and large hooks...so maybe for a snowing day, yeah?

I didn't friend you to read my story, so don't worry! It's my first Snarry, so it's more for me to try and figure out how it all works, anyway! I know what you mean about reading and writing - sometimes I just can't read a single thing at all.

I post frequently, mostly about Snarry, Snape, translation and meta. I look forward to it!

And I often find that the ones who make the most mistakes are the native speakers, because they get so cocky that they break all the rules (myself included). As far as I can tell, your English is impeccable.

*feels welcomed*

Just wanted to reassure you that you're not talking just to yourself. And I know what you mean about being self-conscious there. But the only way to get to know people online and post is to . . . start posting.

Very true. Thank you.

Oh, online authors are totally just people! *g* And yeah, it's weird when you first start doing the LJ thing... I had a little bitty friendslist for ages, and I didn't really post fic, at most I posted links to it elsewhere. Got over that eventually.

Got over that eventually. :) Yeah, I'm looking forward to that. (P.S. I friended you to keep up with your wonderful fic updates - yours and cruisedirector's Admittance series is one of the hottest things I've read. Hope you don't mind.)

*waves hello* I'm in a barely-reading phase too (end of school year kid obligations up the wazoo -- I am really entirely boring). But am very glad to "meet" you!

*waves back* Glad to "meet" you too. Just read Trussed. Just...just brilliant, yeah. Your fics stopped watersports being a squick for me, and that's...that's some serious stuff, right there.

*tries to decide whether to be proud or ashamed* Thank you! For whatever reason that was never a squick for me, or at least only when used in humiliation/non-con which is itself a squick for me.

Non-con has never really been a squick for me, although all things considering, it ought to be. I guess I can't say I particularly enjoy it, unless it's one of those fics where Snape has to do it to prove his loyalty and then begs Harry for forgiveness and then they fall in love...

For all my angst tendencies, I'm a sucker for romance. *hangs head*
