As of the 29th, I'll have worked at this current office job for four months. The 90-day mark is usually when the employer decides whether they're going to hire you on permanently or get rid of you if they decide that you weren't good enough while temping. The 90-day mark was June 29th (I was hired March 29th) so I've actually been here a month past that deadline. I'm not sure what they're going to do with me, but this past week I've been trained on a new system that they use at work to check for prior insurance claims on files, and I've also been trained on two more types of files that they process. At least that's a good sign, because the more things I learn, the more indispensable I'll be.
I caught Suicune in my SoulSilver file today. THAT was a clusterfuck.
First attempt: Got its health down to a sliver, then realized I had no Ultra Balls. (LOL PREPAREDNESS FAIL) Reset game.
Second attempt: Accidentally fainted it when a move that normally would get its health down to a sliver was a Critical Hit. Reset game.
Third attempt: Exhausted supply of Ultra Balls and Great Balls even after it was asleep with a sliver of HP. Reset game, went to Cerulean PokeMart and bought 25 Ultra Balls. Then went back to Suicune's location at the cape.
FOURTH ATTEMPT: Got its HP down to a sliver, put it to sleep, then caught it ON THE FIRST TRY with an Ultra Ball. THE FIRST TRY. THREW ONE DAMN BALL AND I CAUGHT IT. I BOUGHT 25 DAMN BALLS FOR NOTHING FFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUU-
Oh man, though. Sadface. Major sadface. I feel so bad for Eusine AND on top of that I'm never gonna see him again for the rest of the game ;A; I seriously just... crushed the guy's dreams... orz .... I wish I could just trade the Shiny Suicune from my Platinum file into SoulSilver so that he could catch that Suicune for himself ;; This is one of those times where I wish I could let the character have their way. I felt the same way with Morty when I beat him, he was so convinced that he would beat me and go on to see Ho-Oh, and I beat him and pretty much put him into a major depressed funk.
...orz I'm wangsting over fictional characters again.
I'm also entertaining the thought of creating a Badass Normal team. (lmao TVTropes). Serenity (my Togekiss) and Sofa King (my Snorlax) are pretty fucking awesome.
