I get into a debate about the supposed moral flaws of a
fairy tale about... uh, that's up for discussion it seems. Anarchy, incorrigible children, slavery, racism, classism, white folk, poor parenting, liberals, deracination of middle-class Americans, Shrekism, offending people, sociolinguistics of nomadic South Asians, etc.
Nick Mamatas is a writer and an editor. He seems really good at what he does, but manages to rub me completely the wrong way this time. Yes, the story he links to has its flaws. The flame war which erupts in the comments to the story, also. I go nutsoid in Nick's own post. It's 5 am, I can't be bothered to explain it all, but read the story, then lol at the
Bingo card (it's funny even when it's wrong). This is what happens when I finish a big work project and find myself with time on my hands. I should have done my taxes instead, dammit!

The heroine reminds me of my wife. K, would you smoke a pipe like that?
