to Quebec & beyond
Tonight we're (Jeremy, his parents, me) leaving for Lake Placid, NY, and Montreal, Canada. We'll be gone from tonight until next Sunday night. That's a longer vacation than I've had in a while, and it's the farthest north I'll have ever traveled that I remember (my parents traveled when I was a toddler, but of course I have no recollection of this). Thrilled!
Plus, I've never seen Canada period, and we're going to the French part so maybe it'll be more interesting than if we were just going to Toronto or somewhere. (I'd still take Toronto to nowhere, though). And the weather in Lake Placid/Montreal is going to be nice and autumnal, as it should be in September, so I'll actually experience fall.
We're going because Jeremy's cousin is getting married. Never met him, but he seems nice. His Facebook is amusing, anyway. Jeremy's dad's side of the family is pretty quirky so that should be entertaining.
I just hope I survive the 18-hour car drive to and fro. Wish us luck!
