Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah (or, Fuck the AM!)

Woke up at 5:30 AM Friday and today. I'm happy because the temp agency I've been working with is sending me to another job tomorrow, to last indefinitely, for which I can sleep in until 6 AM now. So I'm up before the sun (I think--it's tough to tell when the sun's risen in Portland...you can go quite a long time without seeing it or any proof that it's there) every day, indefinitely. If I were any more excitement, it might vaguely count as just barely being remotely like being just a tiny, wee bit almost like mild excitement. but not really.
Well, Liver Appreciation Week went well. For a while. I went to a crazy party on Saturday and got drunk though. It wasn't brimming over with people, there weren't 15 kegs on hand, but it was weird. From a cute girl walking around in a corset and underwear and grindcore blasting in the living room to being lambasted by a train hopper for wearing a bandana around my neck (apparently an FTRA symbol...FTRA is a violent, hated, and feared hobo group) to a friend getting kicked out of the house by a girl who lived there every 5 minutes all fucking night but never leaving...yeah, love triangle shit...oh, and the mohawk kid who might just have been wearing a marilyn manson shirt who was struggling to walk without falling over, who kept telling us to go to burning man. until he lost coherence and just started yelling "burning man! burning man!"
Sunday--best day in a while. Woke up, made myself some hash browns and toast, drank some coffee, and meanwhile...I sang along gleefully with the Spongebob Squarepants theme song and watched taped episodes of it all afternoon, eating junk food all day long, watching taped episodes of the simpsons, the muppet movie, the cartoons fox plays on sunday, eating canned ravioli and peanut butter straight from the jar and pepperoni, raw and cold and alone! It was beautiful...like being a kid on saturday morning, eating junk food cereal and watching cartoons without a care in the goddamn world...oh, yes...I was glad yesterday.
This week is going to be a long, dry (in a couple different ways), boring, and early-to-bed-early-to-rise week and I'll be glad when the weekend is here. All the "Go NUTS!" I have in me will be penned up and be ready to be released on unsuspecting Portland, Oregon. Beware....
-Ian.
