Ah, Alaska.

So I've been living here in Skagway, Alaska for 3 months on Saturday. Since I've been here, I have:

- Flown on a tiny little 8-seater plane from Juneau to Skagway, then landed on a tiny little airstrip.
- Hiked the majority of trails in town.
- Seen about 10 black bears from the safety of a car.
- Been sort of lost in the woods and found our way back.
- Played capture the flag in the dead town of Dyea.
- Drank too much.
- Gone on a couple fun dates.
- Been on the receiving end of awkward looks after I make a joke that people up here apparently don't find funny.
- Met lots of Mormons and Northwesterners. It's been good to meet different types of people.
- Hiked the Upper Dewey Lake trail 3 3/4 times, which is quite difficult.
- Been to Whitehorse and back many, many times.
- Tossed tens of thousands of bags (gently).
- Seen a humpback whale in the Lynn Canal.
- Visited Glacier Point and floated up the river formed by the Davidson Glacier to cheggit out.
- Eaten Alaskan salmon at the Liarsville Salmon Bake (the glaze it what makes it).
- Seen an enormous pillbug up close (they're scary).
- Seen a buttload of sea lions basking on rocks. I have video. They make the coolest noises.
- Lived in a (crappy) hotel.
- Hung out in Dyea at night, with a grizzly bear. Watched him catch and devour a salmon.
- Complained out loud about people not doing their friggin' dishes in our community kitchen.
- Kayaked in a beautiful lake outside of Haines.
- Spotted lots of bald eagles.
- Taken a jet boat ride.
- Seen 3 moose (from a great distance).
- Told and listened to embarrassing stories at the Pizza Station.
- Had many wonderful conversations about books.
- Sat by the ocean and read a book.
- Hiked on a glacier. Insanely cool!
- Stayed the night in a cabin up on top of a mountain.
- Driven to Dawson City in a far-too-long day.

I'm sure I'll have a few more things to add to this list before I leave in 3 weeks. :)
