Title: Movie Night
Fandom: Durarara!!
Characters: Tsugaru/Psyche, Delic/Hibiya
Prompt: Movie night~
It was a fairly well known fact that on the rare occurrences when Psyche and Tsugaru went to bed separately that the blonde was the first one to turn in for the night. Tsugaru was an early riser, after all, and so as the night hours wore on he would gradually begin to fade. He would make a valiant effort to stay up and be with Psyche until he wanted to go to bed, but the energetic raven would stay up all night if sleep wasn’t essential. And finally Tsugaru would call it a night, excusing himself from the group (Hibiya having already fallen asleep in Delic’s lap, probably to be denied later) and would retreat to their bedroom to sleep.
But when movie night came along, the group had gathered on the couches to watch a late night movie together, Tsugaru had settled in to try and stay awake through the whole film despite the late hour it was starting. Psyche skipped over to the television to put the movie in before he plopped down next to his lover, curling into his side as the opening credits began to roll. Tsugaru let his arm wrap around the raven, smiling down at him for a few moments before he focused his attention on the movie.
The movie was good, at least the parts that Tsugaru was able to pay attention to and watch. Psyche was nearly bouncing in excitement next to him, fully engrossed in the movie. Delic and Hibya were quiet, for the most part, until Delic tried to get too handy or did something that Hibiya disliked. Then the sound of a slap would ring over the action of the movie and Hibiya would cry something along the lines of “Keep your limbs to yourself, filthy cur!” They would settle back into the movie for another length of time before this cycle would start up yet again.
Sure enough, however, as the movie dragged on and the hour got later, Tsugaru felt the weight on his eyelids that could only mean the pressure of sleep was fast approaching. He leaned back further against the couch, feeling Psyche settle in deeper into his side as they moved further into the couch. The raven’s head rested against his chest, eyes focused intently on the movie and he had now calmed as the movie moved into more serious matter. Tsugaru continued to smile down at him softly, though his eyes were gradually drooping further and further closed….
Psyche wasn’t sure when Tsugaru had fallen asleep during the movie. Normally he was able to stay up through the whole thing, and only Hibiya ended up asleep. The prince was asleep, too, of course, cradled in Delic’s lap where Delic normally moved him after he fell asleep. But so was the blonde because when Psyche looked up as the ending credits began, he was met with closed eyes and Tsugaru’s head leaning against his chest softly. His breath was slow and steady, even and Psyche wondered why he hadn’t noticed Tsugaru’s breathing change…
“Well, I’m going to get His Highness to bed,” Delic sighed, standing and holding the prince in his arms. Hibiya’s breathing didn’t even change in the slightest as Delic stood, looking fondly down at him. The crown was slightly askew, and Psyche had to admit he did look cute sleeping (even if he was nowhere near as cute as Tsu-chan).
“Okay, night Delic-chan!~” Psyche responded, waving as the blonde headed back towards the bedroom with the sleeping prince in his arms. Only when he had disappeared did Psyche turn back to his own sleeping lover. The only problem? He couldn’t carry Tsugaru the way Delic could carry Hibiya. There was no way to get Tsugaru back to their bedroom without waking him up…
“Good night, Tsu-chan,” Psyche murmured, kissing him on the cheek softly before curling up next to him, once more resting his head on the firm expanse of chest. “Sleep tight~”
Psyche had made his decision, and sleeping in Tsugaru’s warmth was better than alone no matter where that happened to be. And Psyche fell asleep with one arm draped over his chest, one of Tsugaru’s arms still around him lightly. When Delic came out in the morning, he found the two like this, and left them sleeping soundly.
