I remember when I used to like vacation. Nowadays, it's a reminder that I have no money, and less so when I'm being forced to take a week off with no pay. Blah. Also, most of my friends have vacation next week. So that didn't quite work out this year. On the other hand, I've gotten a lot of reading and TV watching done over break. Yay?
I admit that I am a stubborn person. I don't like to admit when I'm wrong, especially when I still believe I'm right. But I'm trying to rectify situations that need rectifying, and that means swallowing my pride and just fixing things. More on this later.
One book that I finished reading this week is called The Meaning of Night, by Michael Cox. It's an excellent read...sort of a Victorian-era mystery. If you enjoy page turners and getting sucked into a really good story with good writing, I suggest you check it out. It's gotta a little bit of murder and intrigue mixed into the plot. After I finish the sixth Sookie Stackhouse book, I'm gonna go check out the sequel.
Not much else to report as of now. I really need to sit down with my play tomorrow and really hammer out some kinks before auditions next week. This is going to be an interesting process. I never saw myself directing kids as young as 4th grade. It'll definitely be a learning experience for all of us.
