First, thanks for all the hard work you guys are putting into this! Out of curiosity, what is the reasoning behind having the apps email based?

We're moving to email based so that prospective applicants who don't have Dreamwidth accounts will be able to still send us applications without having to post them anonymously, or via open ID (which doesn't appear to be working very well at the moment, and thus may not be functionally reliable for apps). Then within the acceptance notice we can email them their Dreamwidth invite code, and thus circumvent potential outsiders taking invite codes from the application page. I hope that makes sense!

Just a heads up! DW has kept the no-code-needed account creation system open for the time being. There is - afaik - no set date as to when it will close, so everyone should be able to get some journals in preparation for the move!

Done and done. Yes I'm so lame all my usernames are the same and I didn't even have the forethought to finally spell out "true lightning's fury" nope.

OH HEY ALSO I just stupidly discovered...in case anyone was curious or worried. If you have LJlogin, it also works for Dreamwidth. Apparenly rumor has it LJjuggler does too. You just have to go to the preferences screen and voila. Click Dreamwidth and you're good to go.
