Ryan has a grand total of two main hobbies in the City, dance is always the first and tormenting Troy making sure Troy stays alive. If, somewhere during that process, Troy becomes exceedingly embarrassed then Ryan feels like he's doing his job correctly. Kind of. Okay, actually he smirks because seriously? Schadenfreude. It was nothing personal against Troy, exactly . . . Just more of a general happiness at the misfortune of others. It was that whole "I don't want to see my sister crash and burn . . . At least I don't think I do." side of him that the City seemed to bring out more and more.
Which was why Ryan had taken a great amount of sadistic glee in seeing Troy fall on his ass the first time he had tried the heels for his finale costume on. Instead of saying "I told you so," though, Ryan merely offered to give him lessons in walking with heels on. Like a good Disney child, of course.
And that was how Ryan and Troy ended up in Ryan's studio, Troy wearing heels and wobbling fairly unstably while Ryan stood nearby and watched.
