The fact that she'd had to sneak out was rediculous. Okay, she knew she'd been through a trauma or whatever, but it wasn't exactly the first time. Her head felt fine now, besides the itching from the stupid stitches. Even if the doctors did say she should try to take it easy, the didn't get it. Superheroes just had a different version of 'easy' than everybody else!

It's not like she was going off and fighting supervillains or going to the jail to visit Grell or trying to meet up with more new imPorts to let them take advantage of her all over again. She just needed to get outside for a while for a bit of a fly. A very fast fly, way up high where it was safe and things couldn't get her.

When the sky started turning pink, that's when she decided to rest, circling a nearby cathedral a couple of times (beautiful!) before finding a decent, gargoyle-free ledge to land and sit upon. Megan's knees tucked up in front of her and she hugged them, intent on watching the west sky slowly change its colors.

The best part about being up high was that the sounds of the city were muted, even a little bit. Birds flew by every once in a while, but stuck to the trees or telephone lines for the most part. And most of the movement was below him.

So when something much too large and pink to be a bird flickered in the corner of his eye, he took notice. He looked to the side, but it had already gone; the sound of shoes on stone, however, led him to look up. His eyes widened.

"The hell?"

A disembodied voice she didn't recognize said something in a language she didn't understand, and Megan screamed, launching herself off the building to hover in mid-air about ten feet away from the ledge. She spun around with her arms out, ready to dust the next thing that moved if it tried to take her down.

"Who's that? Who's there!" She looked around wildly, but there were ledges and towers and gargoyles and spires and nooks... whoever it was, they had at least a dozen potential hiding places on that building! "Come on out, then! I'm not afraid of you!"

She was very afraid. She'd seen how far Grell could jump.

The sudden high-pitched scream made Rui jerk in surprise; his camouflage fell, though his feet remained firmly planted on the wall. He stared as the pink thing that revealed itself to be a girl hovered in the air, obviously held aloft by her insect-like wings.

For the briefest of moments he felt smug at having managed to inspire fear in someone else for the first time since leaving Japan, before the real terror in her voice registered and he frowned instead. It took a few moments to pick apart what she'd said for the most part - his English still sucked.

"Over here," he replied in the same language, then muttered in Japanese, "relax. Ka."

A boy appeared, standing straight out from the side of the wall. Dude, he'd been invisible when she sat down? Why? What was he trying to hide?

"Sihal Novarum Chinoth!" She said, and dissappeared in a flash of pink light only to reappear behind him on his other side, only a few feet away, "Who are you? What're you doing sneaking around all invisible and spying on young girls then, eh? What are you on about?"

Ohh, she didn't look so scared anymore. The bright flash of light made him react as he usually did to things that surprised him: he flipped open the butterfly knife and held his arm out at a slight angle, ready to slash at anything if need be.

Hey, a guy needed to defend himself against something that... pink and sparkly and... girly. Or something. He was really just reacting. She had wings. Rui turned around to see that she'd appeared on his other side, speaking far too fast for him to comprehend. His eyes went wide, but he managed to glare at the same time.

"Shut up!" Why did all girls talk so much?!

He yelled something else that she didn't understand, but now he had a knife. Definately a bad guy, then. Megan flew backwards a few feet, hopefully out of stabbing-range, got out her communicator, just in case she had to call for help again. Her eyes narrowed and she watched this strange young man suspiciously, ready for anything.

"Put. The knife. Away," she warned him, slowly this time, "Or you'll be sorry."

He remembered the word 'knife' from when he'd had to shop for the one currently in hand, and though he didn't recognize the rest of what she said, Rui was at least clever enough to put it together. Rolling his eyes and relaxing his stance, he closed the knife and put it back in his pocket. He wasn't going to fight a girl. She might get hurt.

"Happy now?" he groused in Japanese, even though she wouldn't be able to understand him, then he spotted the communicator in her hand. Definitely one of the imPorted weirdos then. As if the hair hadn't given it away. Rui pointed at the device.

"You--" He paused, not even knowing what to say, let alone how to phrase it in English. He tried one of the first phrases they taught after 'where is the bathroom' and 'my name is'. "Who are you?"

Well, at least he did as she told him, and he looked about just as confused by this whole situation as she was. Maybe he wasn't on that wall for sinister purposes after all. Still, never could be too careful.

He didn't seem to speak English very well, so Megan just pointed to herself and said, "Pixie. Who are you?"

That was one of the odder American names that he'd heard. Rui huffed for a moment and then, feeling extremely stupid and taking a quick peek around to make sure that Hiruma wasn't lurking somewhere to take blackmail photos, pointed at himself.

"Habashira," he said, then pointed at her again and raised an eyebrow at the strangeness of the name even as he said it. "Pi-ku-si?"

Oh God the way he pronounced her name was too funny. He made her sound like a Pokemon! She couldn't help but laugh outright at him, even if he had just been flashing a knife at her moments before.

"Close enough," she said, then tried her hand with his name, "Ha-ba-shee-rah."

Rui scowled as she actually laughed at him! He liked her better when she was screaming.

"Ka," he said, then in English, "My English is better than your Japanese."

Her laughter promptly stopped and she wished she knew how to say Jog On in Japanese.

"Prove it then," she said, fluttering up a little higher so she could look down on Habashira, "Why are you on the wall?"

He smirked, which didn't last long as he was forced to turn himself around in order to keep her in view and figure out what she was saying again. After a moment's pause, he shrugged.

"Training," he said, and then the smirk was back. Concentrating on the ability he'd stopped using earlier, his body began to seemingly disappear, starting from his legs and creeping upwards.

"Training for wha--" Pixie's voice trailed off with a look of confusion as Habashira started to dissappear again. "Oy, quit it!"

She briefly considered dusting him, since it was hard to stay invisible when you're coated in a layer of pink sparkles. But this high up, that could turn out very badly if he started to hallucinate. Instead she gingerly reached her hand forward, and tried to poke the place where his body had been.

Rui promptly reappeared as the Pixie girl poked him in his side. Where, he would never ever admit, he was slightly ticklish. He took a step to the side, away from her.

"Learning to... change," he said, unable to think of the right word. He motioned towards her and her insect-like wings. "You got some, too."
