Sanji was still getting used to the public transit system around the City, meaning he often found himself on the wrong routes or getting off at the wrong stops. He consoled himself by swearing that the maps were nigh-indecipherable and at least he wasn't Zoro just wandering lost in the middle of anywhere. He knew the streets, he just had to walk further to get to another transfer stop that would take him back to the MAC.

With his hands tucked deep in the pockets of his new wool peacoat and a cigarette dangling from his lips, he walked at a good clip up an unusually darkened street. He was tired from working at the club and just wanted to go put his feet up, but something arrested his attention en route. Youngsters traveling in a pack weren't all that unusual, but Sanji had been in this world long enough to gather that carrying swords was out of the ordinary. They were about to cross his path, so he called out, "Oi. What do you kids think you're doing?"

Ken arrived not too long after Fakir had sent the message a look of serious concern in his eyes as arrived on the scene outside of the warehouse wearing his blue winter sweater. Wormmon as always by his side. His black D-3 DigiVice tucked safely in his pocket.

He nodded his head offering a polite smile to Fakir as he arrived on the scene. "It's good to see you Fakir. I assume we have a plan?"

Ken paused for a moment before turning his head to acknowledge the swordsman for a moment giving him an odd look look and a shrug. He turned to Sanji saying nothing for a moment, his blue eyes focusing as he tried to figure out what the man was up to.

Fakir barely took the time to even acknowledge Ken before his attention was stolen by some noisy idiot across the street.

"It's none of your concern," he said bluntly, turning back to Ken. "The closest thing I could get to a plan, considering the circumstances."

"Probably not," Sanji acknowledged as he crossed the street and blundered into their group. "I'm sure you've got a perfectly good reason to be toting a sword around in the middle of the night."

His visible eye wandered to Duck, and his lips scowled around the cigarette as he wondered what a young girl was doing with this bunch on top of everything. Then it turned back to regard Fakir. "Don't I know you from somewhere? The communicator thing, I think..."

Ken paused for a moment and shook his head. "Are you sure you don't want me to call for my team?" He asked already anticipating the answer.

He then turned to Duck giving her a polite bow to great her as he ignored Sanji for the moment.

Fakir subtly took a half step back to block the stranger's view of his friend. "More reason than you know, and I don't think I've ever seen you before."

Sanji regarded them all for another second before shrugging. "Fine, be that way. I don't really care all that much. But I hope you're not racing off to get into trouble." He raised his swirly eyebrow in an all-knowing sort of manner. "Any man who willingly puts a lady in danger is no gentleman at all."

Suddenly, there's the faint sound of wings on the wind.

With a deftness that is belied by his bulk, Goliath lands near the gathering, standing to his large and looming full height.

"Fakir," comes the terse greeting.

"She's following me," Fakir said, his dismissive tone implying that he'd really just rather Sanji go away.

Any other verbal backlash that had been in the works was wiped out of Fakir's mind when Goliath abruptly landed amongst them. He would never get used to that, and didn't even try to hide the fact that he'd jumped. He nodded a greeting of his own. "You're not late."

Ken stepped back a bit as he silently wished Fakir would learn to filter his posts and otherwise not everyone brought over would recognize him. He tilted his head to Goliath as Wormmon jumped back slightly at the sight of the Gargoyle. The small Digimon acknowledging the much larger creature as he would a Champion-level Digimon.

"Goliath." He said in a polite greeting, remembering him from the last encounter with the Raven Prince. "It's nice to have your help."

Sanji was about to unleash a stream of insults in Fakir's face for dragging a poor girl like Duck into god knows what they were about to do when Goliath landed. Despite the many adventures he was used to, large flying things still startled him and made him fall back a bit.

At least he recovered quickly. "All right, know I know you people are up to something," he snapped at Fakir. "Are you dragging this cute little girl into a battle?"

Goliath nods at those who greet him, before turning to look at the warehouse, ignoring the jumpy man for the moment in the hopes of focusing on the task at hand.

"This is where you believe a powerful mage is holding your friend," he says with a small note of skepticism.

Fakir joined Goliath in ignoring Sanji. After all, what did he want with an interloper at this point? Ken could deal with him.

"I'm as surprised as you are," he said, sounding just as unimpressed. "But appearances can be deceiving, and disguising her fortress would be a good idea in this city."

Ken paused for a moment a thoughtful look on his face. Wondering for a moment if Sanji may have had a point. While he knew some girls who could hold their own in a fight, Duck was hardly a warrior.

"Considering what we are going up against, maybe we should accept some help... if he thinks he's up for it." He said turning towards Sanji. Wormmon was still looking on Goliath with a somewhat nervous respect.

Sanji's lips twisted around his cigarette again. "Of course I'm up for it, who do you think you're talking to?" he growled. But then what the others were talking about came to light. Mage. Prisoners? It sounded like this had something to do with the threats of capturing princesses and...oh boy.

He thrust his chest out importantly. "At least allow me to protect your companion," he sniffed, his chivalry showing a bit obviously. "And if you're rushing in to rescue a captive princess, well - then I'm definitely your man!"

"The captive is no princess," Goliath assures, so far as he is understanding of the situation. "The captive is a mentally disturbed boy with the power to steal souls, held by some deluded girl determined to force him into marriage, and allied with a powerful sorceress about which we seem to know nothing. Not even a name."

He looks to Fakir, in case he has any corrections to offer, or new information to reveal.
