WHO: Rikki and Roy WHERE: Wherever Rikki patrols (the streets) WHEN: Tuesday October 27 WARNINGS: None SUMMARY: Rikki and Roy go on patrol. FORMAT: Whichever Hiruko prefers!
Rikki's extremely happy to be one person again, with her powers back and her friends all back to normal. Today is a good day, and the weather's nice for patrolling.
Instead of walking up to Roy like a normal person, she vaults off the closest rooftop and onto the corner.
"Hi," she says, grinning and adjusting her goggles. "Speedy, right?
Roy doesn't even flinch when she lands in front of him. He's had way too much experience with crazy entrances already. Instead, he waves a hand casually and a slow grin spread across his face.
"Hey there Nomad! Got it in one!" He pauses for a half a second, then adds, "Although it might change sometime soon. Speedy doesn't really fit me anymore."
He says that with a slight grimace. Thinking of Ollie always makes him a little uncomfortable.
"Yeah, I had that problem too," Rikki smiles a bit at him. "Any ideas for your new one?"
Normally she sticks to rooftops when patrolling- less weird looks up there, and it's less crowded. She thumbs over her shoulder. "Are you okay on the roofs, or do you want to stick to street level?"
"Huh. What's a shrike?" Rikki asks, already starting towards a low overhang. It's an easy jump for her, and she leaps upward gracefully, landing with a satisfying thump on the roof.
She peers down over the edge of the building, maybe smirking just a little. "Need a hand up?"
Roy follows in Rikki's wake, climbing up with relative ease.
"If you think I'm gonna be outdone by a girl, you've got another thing coming."
It's said with more teasing than chauvinism, really.
Roy's going to let Rikki lead tonight, though. If they run into anyone, it's better if he's father away, after all, what with him being an archer and her being a brawler. It just makes sense.
"See, you say that now, and it's only going to make it hurt more when I totally show you up," Rikki looks over her shoulders and raises her eyebrows at him, smirking just as teasingly. "Famous last words."
It's sort of weird to have someone else patrolling with her, but good weird. She's in her element up here, and she's gotten to know the City pretty well by now, so she's feeling pretty confident as she takes the lead.

Roy looks up, considers for barely a moment, then grins.
"Rooftops are fine with me. They just give me more room to shoot properly."
