Rue was in no better mood than he was. Fakir had come over so early she'd barely had time to prepare, and had ended up leaving the apartment looking like an utter mess. On top of that, he was becoming more and more irritated, snapping at her nearly every time she opened her mouth. The fool was obviously tired, anyone could see that, but when she had innocently suggested he go home and sleep while she looked for Mytho, he glared daggers at her in answer, as if daring her to do such a thing.

And thus, she was not surprised at all when he let the door shut in her face, simply opening it back up calmly and stepping through after him.

Fakir paid no mind to Rue, scanning the stacks and nearby circulation desk for any sign of the librarian. He sighed upon finding no help close by, and started down a random aisle, glancing from side to side in hopes of locating Mytho.

It was assumed that Rue would follow, of course.

She didn't, though, preferring to split up from him and search on her own for a bit. She wandered the shelves looking around for Mytho, and of course, finding no trace at all. After a few minutes of this she gave up and rejoined Fakir, sighing.

"I don't think he's here either," she said quietly.

"He really doesn't seem to be anywhere at all," Fakir said harshly, trying to mask the unease in his voice with anger. He ducked into another section of the library, the one with shorter shelves and brightly colored carpeting.

He froze mid-step when he passed a chair set up facing a window near the corner and spotted a dash of white peeking over the high back of it. Cautiously, quietly, he approached the chair, a hope he figured would only be shattered tugging at his mind. He waved for Rue to follow, and peered over.
