The sound had started about an hour ago, interrupting her post-practice, pre-work nap, and rendering her rather grumpier than usual. And once she'd gotten dressed, she'd gone off down the hall to investigate, determining that the noise(which sounded kind of like construction), to be coming from a previously vacant apartment.
"Hey!" She called, knocking loudly at the door, accidentally hammering at it a bit too hard, denting the hard surface about a half inch.
