All of his coworkers had been, at first, puzzled by Rimmer's giddy sort of mood, and tried to suss out what was different about him. But then they just got annoyed as his chipper perkiness grated on their collective last nerves.
They really liked him better when he wasn't such a smug, insufferable prat. Oh well. He had plenty to be smug about, today.
At the end of his working day, he drove (very carefully, as Raven's warning had gotten through) to pick her up. He didn't even care which movie they were about to see. It didn't matter.
