The god of thunder shut off his communicator, and looked up at the buildings surrounding him, taking no notice of the people staring at him as they passed by. As he waited for the Witch to do whatever she needed to do to teleport him, he got to thinking, recounting the experiences he'd had with her.
Wanda Maximoff. (Or was it Wanda Lensherr?) Not a bad woman, but they'd had their conflicts. He had zapped her brother more than a couple times when Loki had turned the team against him. Thor couldn't say they'd ever been particularly close, but they'd both been part of the Ultimates in some way or another. That counted for something.
And she was here. Of all the people who'd never heard of the Ultimates, she was among the exceptions. That was a relief; he did not look forward wading through the mysteries of these 'Avenger' teams. Why had there been so many of them? If this was some kind of nexus for bringing in heroes from different universes, why were these Avengers playing such a prominent part in it?
No matter. Thor closed his eyes and crossed his arms, knowing that the moment he looked up he'd most likely be in a completely different place. It felt a little odd to trust another to teleport him somewhere, but he had faith in the woman. After all, it wasn't as if Loki would ever get the bright idea to impersonate her or something, right?
