So this girl had known Riku. That enough wasn't enough to buy Kogenta's goodwill - he was a stubborn ass by nature - but it certainly stirred up feelings he thought he'd buried. He had left him only months ago, and despite himself, missed the boy terribly. And yet, they had missed each other here in the other sense of the word. Like ships passing in the night. Was he relieved by that, or disappointed? On the one hand, they wouldn't be able to have the same relationship as before. It could never be the same as it had. Their bond was over with.
And yet, he still loved Riku, and wanted to know he was alright.
Well - that wasn't the issue at hand. No, the problem he had to deal with now was that of eating. It was a natural thing to do, but as a (terribly minor, though he'd never let on to that) nature deity, he had never had to deal with either that nor the tail end of the procedure. It wasn't foreign to him - Kogenta spent his better, non-in-Hell days with humans 24/7 - but it was... nevertheless detached.
Ruka, who had offered to help, certainly seemed kind enough. Kogenta was also given to be nicer to children than he was adults, as well. But even so, he was not the most gracious when it came to accepting favors. That, and not being able to take care of himself? It looked bad! Not at all dignified for the great Byakko no Kogenta-sama.
"Screw it," he grumbled to himself, running a hand through his hair in frustration as he waited for the girl. "I shouldn't have to deal with this."
