To almost anyone but his proteges, he was nothing more than another shadow on a rooftop, and that was just how he preferred it as he took in the City, noting every detail and filing it away. The communicator and dog tags had already been stowed in a hiding place. He had checked them for tracking devices, and knew the dogtags, at least, had one, but he wasn't about to take the risk that the communicator did, too. He'd retrieve them later, once he had a better grasp on the situation.
Being thrown into an alternate dimension or timeline was nothing new. He could already tell that both Dick and Tim were different, whether as a result of this place, or as a result of being pulled from another universe. Neither were the boys he knew, neither were the sons he had never known... but they were both Robins, and so, out of the vast array of heroes here, they were the ones whom he came the closest to trusting, though at this point, he trusted them about as much as Dick trusted him.
Already he had identified a number of potential threats, both old and new; Joker, Quinzel, Nigma, Crane, Sionis, possibly Isley. Selina was here, too, but it remained to be seen whether she was friend, foe, or, as she was so often before, something in between. Either way, little as he liked it, he'd need all the help he could get.
And so he he waited and watched for the pair of Robins... and prepared himself in case of attack. He had had to fight with a version of himself before; he wouldn't put it past the parallel universes to have Robins with ideals contrary to his own.
