[ McCoy doesn't really bother saying anything, he just moves to sit down beside Jim, offering him the flask of whiskey he's managed to procure in the week or so that he's been here. He catches sight of the replica Jim's holding but tries not to draw too much attention to it; if Jim wants to talk, he'll talk. ]

[ jim takes the flask of whiskey and downs some of it before he hands it back to bones. he's grateful for it, and for the company. but it still takes him a few moments to say anything. ]

[ He's not going to rush anything. In fact, he's oddly content just sitting there in silence as he takes a swig of the whiskey as well. What Jim says, though, gets a slight snort that's completely humorless. ]

I did. You have no idea how many reports and order forms and shit I have to write out as captain. It's a pain in the ass.
