Hm… There was someone new, someone Astral never seen before. Different compared to the humans of this world. He had white hair… Weren’t outlandish hair colors something unique to Yuma’s Earth? How Astral never met a person who chose to dye their hair ridiculous neon colors in faux New York was a mystery for another day. He stood, but his feet didn’t touch the ground; it wasn’t like his legs could support his weight. Something else he learned the night those octopi otaku appeared-he could not stand or walk. The bird startled and flew away.
He appeared puzzled and even a little hesitant; he wanted to ask this person why he was different compared to the others… But how should Astral approach him? Yuma’s rather direct methods of greeting someone seemed incorrect and inappropriate. There must have been some other way, preferably one that wouldn’t end with him being angry as a result. Astral wanted to avoid a repeat of ‘angry person yells at him for stupid Earth reasons.’

How he hadn't noticed something so unusual before was beyond him. He stopped outright, eyes fixed on the strange being not far away. He was having to relive the shock of being faced with many, many out-of-place things again, and though having remembered his past with them softened the blow, neither his past nor present self ever saw anything like that.
But there was recognizable emotion there - not garbled, foreign sensations that would be more off-putting than any appearance.
What are you? he thought. An open thought, unchecked, for nearly everyone in that park was no telepath.

I am Astral. He turned his physical attention away from Blue, and continued to watch the other people in the park. You are different than the others here. Stating the obvious was something he was really good at, alright.

He remained rooted to the spot he'd stopped; his full attention was Astral's.
I am, he replied at length. His initial surprise caused him to briefly lose the remark. I am a Mu, not human. Soldier Blue.
Who are you?

Astral floated over to him, looking over him curiously. “What is a Mu?”

"Someone born from humans, but not the same," he replied, his voice low. When the staring became too prominent for him, he began to move, stepping around Astral and walking onto the grass, heading in the direction Astral came before. He continued as he went along.
"I have abilities humans don't. I've lived a life longer than any human has."
