Lily couldn't help but be excited. It was her first time ever having a birthday party, and the day's events promised to be fun. There was a party room reserved at Zapp's Laser Tag, and a karaoke machine had been rented. A couple of rounds of laser tag were booked for all who were interested, and there was a good variety of games available at the arcade. Pinball, fighting games, sports games, driving games, Dance Dance Revolution, shooters, and puzzles. A little something for nearly everyone with any interest in arcade games.
It wasn't even the prospect of presents that excited her. Lily was far less interested in those than she was in having a party with friends and eating cake together. Things like that were fun, and were normal.
She had considered wearing a party dress, but in the end setlted on more casual clothing - a pastel yellow shirt, blue jeans and a mostly black zip-up hoodie with a yellow design on one side.
