He had been working at the silk and the polymer components for some time. He didn't have enough to mass-produce, even if this did work. He had to pray that it did. He needed a non-lethal response package, and he didn't have one. But, if he were lucky...

The small metal table had a series of rockets on it. Light enough to be lifted by hand, they were modifications of his Messerschmitt 262's R4M rockets. He had a target set up across the way from it, and the rockets were precisely aimed. The only difference was that the pointed nose of the rockets were now flattened, and not the same material as the rest of the rocket. He moved precisely, readying for the test. Then he stood aside, and lit the fuse.

With a brief, precise roar, the rocket headed towards the target, a bundle hanging from a tree. It missed by a few inches, causing it to say. He swore under his breath as it buried itself in the turf, the second-stage parachute deploying uselessly. He waited for the target to steady, aiming the next rocket.

The second one flew trew. On impact, the head burst into a closing net, and the parachute deployed behind it. He smiled, nodded once. Well, it worked once. Now to see if it could be repeated...
