Around 11 AM on Wednesday morning Andy was out the door already, roller skates slung over his shoulder like a professional in a dance movie. He was trying to make a good impression, he needed to look the part.
He wasn't obsessed with impressing Rapunzel, although for some reason it was important to him. Probably because she was so new here; Andy himself had been in that boat not long ago, so he was more than willing to be as welcoming as possible. He would be more hesitant to admit he was a bit smitten with the sound of her voice, because that just seemed like the kind of thing one shouldn't admit to themselves given both the people in question. She sounded way young, but it was a beautiful voice nonetheless. He couldn't help but wonder, as he waited outside, if he'd seemed weird, but on the other hand everyone needed to learn how to roller skate. It was a dying art.
He sat down on the steps in front of one of the MAC doorways, tightening his scarf around his neck and counting how much money he had left in his wallet. To get to the rink he was thinking of hiring a cab -- special occasion and all that, and she'd never been in one before.
