[The perch she's found in the rafters kind of reminds her of her recent role as supervisor while Trauma had been testing his powers on people. Same shadowed observation, same tense, unsure waiting.

Only it's entirely different. This clandestine meeting isn't with the same intention at all.

What if Tim really does have a chip in him? What if the Joker seriously comes out? She doesn't want to hurt him, not after everything he's done for her -- but if Terry says it's possible...

So she's waiting. Tensely, miserably, second-guessing everything she and Terry had gone over.]

[It doesn't take long for Tim to get there, right on time in the Red Robin uniform and acting just as cautiously as he would if he were breaking in on some secret criminal rendezvous. Just because he was meeting Batman, the young, an ally and someone he extended a degree of trust toward, didn't mean he was just going to go walking in with his guard completely down. There were very few people that happened around, even less these days than it used to be.

But eventually he does walk in, after checking for cameras and, you know, the basics of perimeter security, moving silently through the shadowy interior of the warehouse and coming to a stop in front of Terry. He can tell the other boy is tense, and trying not to be too tense, which puts him on edge - but maybe he needs to be the reassuring, calm one, if Terry's nervous about whatever it is he's called Tim out for.]

Hey. So what did you need to see me about?

[That's probably a good idea, Tim. Bruce would be proud. And he'd be right to be paranoid, in this instance.]

It's something that happened when I was back home.

[Terry is also in his suit, and as soon as Tim steps close enough and looks as though his guard is sufficiently lowered, he sprays a jet of knock-out gas, right at his face.

Please oh please let this work.]

[Even with superspeed and the already sharp reflexes he has, Terry catches him by surprise - knock out gas, really? - and it's close enough range that he breathes in a mouthful of the gas before he manages to back away. He just has time to give Terry an indignant glare and mutter an imprecation before the chemicals do their work, flaring through his system quickly thanks to his increased metabolism, and causing him to fall, limp and graceless, to the floor.

Lights out.]

[She's down immediately, hitting the ground lightly and biting her lip. She hates the way Tim fell -- it's Tim, he shouldn't be doing any of that -- but she comes to an anxious stop next to him anyway, like it was all part of the plan.]

Didn't even need me. [it doesn't sound relieved.] So -- we got him, he's in total check-out, and -- [Terry gets the next anxious glance.] Do your scanning thing, right?

[Terry had moved fast, catching Tim before he managed to quite hit the ground and then setting him down. He glances over at Carrie as she comes up behind him, his voice hard and tone completely unrepentant. Because if there was even a chance-

This was better.]

I could use you now. You know the retro costumes better than I do. Belt I know... gloves -- right? -- is there anything else that he shouldn't have? Boots?

[He glanced down at Tim again.]

That won't keep him out for long enough by itself.

[He pulls out a hypo filled with more tranquilizers and puts Tim further under.]

All right, we should have at least a few hours.

[She winces a little at the shot from the needle -- but it's necessary, of course. Right. She'll just keep telling herself that.]

Figure the whole cape/cowl combo oughta go, too. Never quite know. [And then she's starting forward, steeling her resolve and making for the belt first. Just in case he immediately shook off the tranqs, or anything, it'd be the most useful.]

[Terry glances at her and then leaves her to it. He has other things to do -- the chains to prepare, a scanner to cobble together.

This would be so much easier if he knew what, exactly, he was looking for.]

[It doesn't take her long before boots, gloves, and belt are in a neat little pile some distance away. The cape's been folded and pushed under Tim's head as a sort of pillow though, and as soon as she's done she settles in a seat next to him to watch Terry anxiously. He could hurry a little, couldn't he? B(]

Can I help?

[Terry glances over at her.]

Sure. Do you- Would you be okay with being the one to put him in these?

[He holds up some sturdy looking chains]

I can if... It's all right.

[She manages not to look any more than a little sick at the sight of the chains, and she pushes herself to her feet anyway. She's already resigned herself to being a part of this, so the proffered easy way out comes off as condescension.

She takes the chains without a word (lightening them as she does so she doesn't have to drag them), and delivers a reproachful look. She's not that weak.]

[Terry shrugs a little. It wasn't so much that he considered her weak as it was clear that she didn't want this, and she didn't have his memories. Knowing made something easier than just being told.]

If you're sure.

[Still no answer. She just hauls everything (and everyone) into place, tweaking densities when she needs to, pulling and wrapping and cinching tight with a good deal of ominous clinking. She hates the sound.

Tim's on his side when she's done, neatly trussed in chains. The cape-pillow just feels a little ridiculous now.]

How fast would you be able to get out of that?

[without glancing over-] With my belt half across the room? It'd take a while.

Drake has more experience than you. Do you think it would take him as long?
