She knew the center wouldn't allow her to take any weapons with her. What had Skywalker once said about a trip in Dagobah? She didn't need them.

Stang, she hated the way Jedi relied on the force. Yet who was she to deny that in times of need, it was necessary? She wouldn't deny that it was important to use the force when she needed it, but she disliked relying on it. She had enough courage, wit, and intelligence to get through most situations on her own. She'd spent ten years barely tapping into it, if only to silence Palpatine's voice calling to her incessantly, telling her to Kill Luke Skywalker at every turn. Whenever she tapped in to the force for strength, or endurance. He'd been right there, whispering to her.

No more, not here.

But that didn't mean she'd use the force whenever she didn't feel like moving from a couch, but then, perhaps her resistance had been too much? She'd heard the news, she'd watched with horror at the accusations piled on her boss. What else was she supposed to think to this? If he was crazy, if he wasn't. She needed to know. Without a doubt.

She needed to speak with him face to face. So she strode through the cold, sterile halls, boots thunking against the floor as she walked, dressed not as Ronin, but as Mara Jade. In leather, a tan cloth hood pulled down around her neck. Something not seen in this world, but it was a comfort in an alien world she still didn't quite understand. How could she? Just like one from a primitive society could be baffled at such an advanced culture, she was constantly mystified by a culture in transition.

She arrived, and stopped, looking through the barrier separating herself and her former boss. "Mister Osborn."
