Hiruma was out and about. He was always out and about at night. He'd become rather nocturnal himself, always out on the town at night, either as a bat or as one of his gambling alter egos, Mutou Toshio or Mr. Helman ( ... )

He didn't care if anyone heard. All the better for him if they did. Then he'd show them who was boss around those parts; scare them away with enough fodder for the tales they'd be telling their empty-headed friends for years.

He could see the sky through the hole in the building; it made him stop--if only for a second or two--to see the moon framed through there was an interesting thing indeed.

Of course, it struck him that without the building in the way, he could see that entire patch of sky with no obstruction whatsoever.

Another blast sheared off one section of the nearest corner of roof; it crumbled down and fell to earth, some of it simply landing and other pieces embedding themselves in the ground.

There was plenty of debris on the ground, now; he had taken a break from destroying the building one way only to go smashing it up by another.

Godzilla picked up a thick chunk of concrete and steel, hefting it in his hands and growling. There was one advantage to this form, perhaps--his arms were longer. He could throw things better this way.

To demonstrate his gratitude for that, he hurled the object through the nearest of the large windows, watching with vicious satisfaction as it shattered, the pieces glittering briefly in the moonlight as they fell. The thin wood cross-frame that had held the panes in place dangled, broken, like a skeleton.

He sounded a bellow of triumph; another chunk from the ground, another window gone.

Huntress had been taking a leisurely run through the rooftops when the blast sounded off. She landed on an eavestrogh in a tight crouch, then squinted over at the guy doing all the damage. Angrily, she shouted at him.

"Hey big guy! Stop that!"

Maybe he would stop... but if he didn't, she had her finger on the safety of her crossbow.

He craned his head upwards and spun around slowly, looking for the source of the sound. It didn't seem like anyone he knew.

If he'd had his tail, it would have been lashing the ground in irritation; instead, he hunched over slightly, looking for a target of some kind to attack.

"Who say this?" he shouted back, squinting, a faint glow growing from behind his teeth.

"Me."

Huntress jumped down from her perch, cape fluttering behind her like an expansion of her shadow. She hit the ground with her crossbow already drawn.

"Now back down. You're going to put people in danger."

Orders.

The costumed little human was giving him orders. Him, the King of Monsters.

He would not have it!

His reply to her words was a toned-down, short, bluish blast of radiation directed at the ground in front of her; a warning shot, if you will.

"You leave now, or I not miss, next," he growled in anger, his voice deep and proud.
