Angelica had been feeling better over the last few weeks, though the nature of her condition dictated that she had to make regular visits to the clinic to check on the state of her recovery. She'd been trying to do just as Dr. Mid-Nite and Night Nurse had told her. She was taking things easy, eating healthy, getting lots of sleep, laying off using her powers, and still coming in for her chemotherapy appointments, and she figured it was just a matter of time before she got the all-clear and would be told she didn't need the treatments anymore ( ... )

"Thank you,"Angelica nodded, following Yukina into the examination room, slumping into the chair without any word of question or protest. She remembered the brief conversation she'd had with Yukina before, and she recalled how sweet and gentle she'd been on what could have been the worst day of Angelica's life. It didn't matter at all the Yukina seemed young, Angie was grateful for the help and kindness.

"I'm not sure if you remember me, my name is Angelica Jones. I was admitted here a few months ago to treat my breast cancer. Doctor Mid-Nite helped treat me, and I'm told I'm in remission, but I think I may be coming down with the flu or something." As if on cue, Angelica started to shiver, which was odd, considering her mutant ability to generate heat usually allowed her to stay toasty and warm. "Either way, I wanted to check in here, just in case."

"I remember speaking to you," said Yukina with a nod. She knew how to use some of the basic equipment and what certain things like a person's temperature and their blood pressure meant. She was still more accustomed to her homeland's methods of taking care of others, but it was interesting to see what medical methods had been developed.

"What symptoms have you had so far, and how long have you been having them?" she asked.

Well, chills for one, she mentally noted.
