WHO: make_contact and littleprovolone
WHERE: The lake placid house.
WHEN: Backdated, Saturday afternoon/evening
WARNINGS: Buckets of derp.
SUMMARY: Joey introduces Mary to his new parrot and shows her what he's been doing with the sketches he did of her.
FORMAT: Parabeans?

Joey had been wandering his way through the whole of the house pretty much since he had rolled out of bed that morning. Mary was coming over, the first time he had seen her since the wedding, by her request to see what he had done with all of the sketches of her he had made on her first visit.

Nervousness got him restless and let him in wandering circles just to keep moving. Mary for all her sweetness made him more nervous than most girls.

She was an anomally among most of the women in Joey's life - friendly, positive, gentle, and somehow charmingly innocent. He was used to world-weary driven women like his mother, and to the more tempered friendliness and heroism of his female friends among the Titans. A girl like Mary was too happy all the time to be a Titan (no offense to them) and too young and warm to come off as hardened despite an apparently busy and illutrious career as Mary Marvel. It was a strange mix for him, pleasant but a bit hard to handle.

He about jumped out of his skin when the doorbell finally rang, stepping faster the rest of the way down the stairs to open the door.
