[Complete silence fills the air for many seconds before she exhales slowly, and softly, and speaks...]
There is much chaos in this city, even more than I've ever been used to. I suppose that if I had opened my eyes and taken in the world, I would've noticed this much chaos at home as well. I had been focused on the team and our problems, rather than thinking about others who's lives may have been just as chaotic. Here, it seems, the problems are others are widely broadcast, quickly making you aware that there's more to this place than just you and your problems. In fact, my problems are quite insignificant to others here - it places perspective in one's mind. While others are lost and have no-one they know to turn to, I have some of my dearest friends here to run to if I need them.
I am one of the fortunate ones...
[A soft, almost inaudible laugh fills the air.] I apologize, I'm musing on things that crossed my mind this morning while I tried to meditate.
I suppose I should venture out more over the next few days, to see if I can find my place in this city after all. I don't suppose there are any suggestions as to where I should or shouldn't venture?
