Some time we've had lately, new friends. Riots, people acting out of sorts, the black sheep of the home universe family coming out of the woodwork. A good old fashioned holiday season, just like mom used to make. How's everybody doing? Anyway, I've got a story for you.

okay so this got away from me a little bit )

Will it still count if the greatest time I felt like a fool is a story that gets told fairly often?

It's an oldie but a goodie, as they say.

I used to be a pilot in the Air Force, and my call sign was 'Cheeseburger.' I don't know if you know anything about the Air Force, but no one actually gets cool call signs. Mine happened to be the result of an unfortunate accident while I was still in training. See, before they let you in the planes, they put you in this G-force simulator that spins you around and around... I'd made the mistake of not listening to the people who told me not to eat before it was my turn to go on.

After having been called that for quite a while the embarrassment is mostly gone, but it was terrible then.

um, cheeseburgers are delicious and you should bear their name with pride. not to mention hurling for your country is more than most people have ever done.

Incredibly delicious they may be, but they're not very fun to clean out of hair and uniforms.

seems like a pretty big oversight that you don't get someone riding shotgun to hold your hair back. is that where regulation haircuts come from?

Regulation haircuts came before the Air Force split from the Army, so I'm thinking no. And my hair wasn't exactly a regulation cut either.

[ BECAUSE LOL COMICS of course an air force pilot can have a brain down to almost her hips 8| ]

Mmm, ground beef and cheddar cheese. Whoever came up with cheeseburgers was a genius.

So, mysterious cheeseburger loving stranger, what do you eat on your burger besides cheese?
