[Have a Roxanne, City; she's not nearly so chipper -- the morning makeup isn't entirely hiding the marks sleepless nights have left, and she's a little pale beneath her concealer. She's not smiling, either. Her expression might best be called 'neutral', the type that people take on when they really don't want to let whatever it is they're feeling

Roxanne? Are you alright?

Yeah. I'll live.
[She's no real stranger to heart ache -- hell, it was just a month ago, by her perception, that she'd dumped him.... and shortly thereafter, took him back.]
..what's with the... costume?

( donna looks kind of surprised, as if she hand't anticipated the question. it seems almost incidental to her now. )
Oh! Well, I don't want to be caught unawares when the fighting starts, and since I was already helping with evacuations...

[She considers Donna's answer, and then nods]
Just a look I've never seen on you. Hard to know who is active in the scene and who is just a pumped up bystander. You did the superhero gig back home, then?

Yeah, there hasn't been much use for it recently, though that seems like it's changing. But, to answer your question, yes. It was... my whole life, really. Since I was about thirteen.

( donna bites her lip, then shrugs. )
I don't really think of it as steel, so much as... I don't know. I mean, we definitely wanted to help people, and of course I still do. But for me a lot of it was emulating my sister, and wanting to put what I could do to good use.

[...worldhopping girl's night out? Why not.]
Family in the business? My dad wanted me to be a lawyer, but I had no interest in it. I can't imagine -- family superheroes.
Gotta say, I like the star field affect.

Well it's...sort of hard not to, when one person in the family's already doing it. At least, that's how I felt.
( donna blushes a little, pushes a lock of hair behind her ear. ) Thanks. I do try.

God I've been around you guys way too long, if I'm doing costume critiques. Man, I remember when all this was just a pain in the butt trying not to be kidnapped when I had something important to do.
Anyway.
Yes. Mediterranean, you say? Sounds lovely.

It's a slippery slope, from rescuee to fashion consultant.
( and here's a laugh. ) Sure did. Once this is all over, I think I'll need the vacation.

[she laughs]
Lovely beaches, lots of history, great food... can't go wrong there.

We should definitely make it out there, then. I haven't had much time to see anywhere other than the City, in this world.

Maybe I can do a report on how the super-set vacations.
