None of those are right. A couple of 'em cut it pretty close, though.

You've been sucked into a superhero AU.

Assuming your OU wasn't superhero-y.

No, my OU was more of a comedy and the occasional dramatic moment that usually ended up being played for laughs anyways. I've always wanted to do a superhero thing, though, but since The Cape was canceled I never thought I'd get to.

What about landing in a world full of superheroes?

A little out of my genre, but cool.

Yes, I consider myself more of a situational comedy type. I go to a local college and am in a study group full of diverse individuals with often conflicting personalities.

Oh! Abed! Is that you?

[She's completely ignoring the topic of the post, of course.]

Yes. At least I hope so. It's also possible that I'm a robotic clone of myself so close to the real thing that even I don't know it yet.

Abed, this isn't a television show! We've been transported to an alternate dimension with superheroes in it!

And I didn't even bring my cape. Wait, does this mean The Cape is back? Because I have a really elaborate party planned out in the event that the fan campaigns are successful and The Cape is renewed.

Your second idea is the closest. Although technically we're supposed to be superheroes. And there's no mission to retrieve anyone.

Okay. Cool cool. Is one of us still the president, and what year is it?

I'm Abed.

Well, I don't know who 'us' is. Mr. Obama is the President here.((IIRC it's the real world president, correct me if I'm wrong!)) 2011.

Pleased to meet you.

Okay, that's the regular president and the regular year. I assume the superhero thing is the irregularity, then? Would you say there's a certain task here that needs to be accomplished in order to get back home?

It's not the coughing, but a lot of the time there's a deus ex machina that the aliens are deathly weak to something commonly found on earth, such as the common cold.

Are you sure? Because you talk with buzzing noises and your name is clearly a wasp pun.

...Do you, perhaps, turn into some sort of wasp-like thing?
