Well that's really more a matter of the subject matter than the actual intelligence of the person. A subject can be inherently stupid to discuss, but smart people can still discuss stupid things and remain intelligent.

Quite. I think every man has a price. Not even he sometimes knows what that price may be, but eventually one can find it. After that, their will is easily bent, whether it be manipulation through greed or moral standing. That is, in essence, human nature.

Those of the human race are easily influenced by their emotions, and often make decisions based off that alone, in the heat of the moment. They're usually the wrong decisions, or easily manipulated into feeling what their opposition wants them to feel.
