On my patrols throughout this city, I have been finding it increasingly necessary to disrupt young vandals from defacing public property.
I understand there is a... countercultural significance to some of this "graffiti," wherein the perpetrators consider themselves artists. Although there are legitimate examples of this - I have seen some quite interesting mural work being done - the majority of their "tagging," as it is termed, seems to consist of simply spelling out their nonsensical code-names in bulging, oversized lettering.
So I ask those of you with appreciative eyes - would you rather see a clean, pristine building, or a street artist's clandestine work, provided there was more talent involved than in simply signing one's name upon it?
