It's nice to be out of the MAC-- free housing is great but the place kind of made my skin crawl. I can't hope to feel at home here, but at least now my address doesn't give me away as coming from another universe.
Actually, that's been on my mind lately-- for a lot of you it seems to be business as usual here. People who were heroes in some respect at home; was adjusting easier? Normality isn't what's expected of us here, and so it seems difficult to achieve. I like my work, it's constructive and I'm ill-suited to running around and righting wrongs-- is that really such a bad thing?
