2018 starts off HOT and WET!

Hot and wet. That's how we're starting off 2018.
I've mentioned periodically over the past few days here in Las Vegas that the heater for the pool and hot tub at our vacation rental house isn't connected properly. The pipes are swapped. And I decided fuck it, l et's go for a hot pool instead of a hot tub.
Well, as of 8:30 this morning the pool was up to 93° F (34C). Not exactly hot tub hot but warm enough to be like a therapy pool. And it looks quite inviting beneath the clear morning sky:
What you can't see in this picture are wisps of steam rising off the heated water. With the crisp morning air being in the low 50s and dry, steam's definitely there! It's just not visible at this angle.
I jumped in for a swim and a dip and encouraged others to join me. It was odd that it was hard to find takers. Maybe people will still sobering up from the night before? I beat my own expectations once again by sleeping off my carousing pretty well in just 6-7 hours. Man, I gotta figure out how to do that more often. Maybe it's from drinking mostly hard liquor instead of wine? Anyway, Hawk joined me after a few minutes and was surprised at how relaxing the hot pool was. Like I said, therapy pool. That's a thing! We did some exercises in it as the water kept our muscles loose.
After this it's time to for a shower to wash up, then pack our bags and head to the airport to fly home.
