Two months
It looks as though the last time I posted was in January! Sort of a telling day, too. There's a reason I stopped posting when I did. Taking the 10,000 foot view, we'll say that I took on some new responsibilities at work and that has definitely filled in the last little cracks as far as time and energy.
I just got back from vacation, though, so I suddenly have energy for things like Livejournal again. Lex and I just spent a week in Vegas! Which is a fantastic place to go and just pretend that the real world doesn't exist - that's sort of what it is designed for, I think. Las Vegas is an interesting place. I'd never been before - absolutely had a great time. Ate great food, went shopping, lounged around, got the flu, got over the flu, went to see the Cirque du Soleil and a magician show, saw the shiny noisy casinos, managed not to lose much money. Spent most of the time in the bright shiny lights on the strip, but also spent a couple of days out hiking and sightseeing around the vicinity and a little bit of time driving around the rest of the city. The mountains and desert there is lovely. I'm still a sucker for desert landscapes.
I think my next objective is replacing my car. I haven't been working very seriously on that - I need to kick it up. I like to drive too much not to have one, and the commuting is really cutting into my free time as well.
