Errands and chores

Today didn't go quite as I expected--but it was a good, productive day nonetheless.

I had set today aside for catching up with people and domestic stuff. Didn't manage to talk to anybody but Lex and the cats today, but I got lots of errands and housework done. What did I do today?

- Went with Lex to Target, and got him new pants and a new table for the store. We've decided that we are the only ones buying those card tables and that they never restock--the count when we leave is always the same as when we go to look for them again. Now we've bought the last one--will there be more? Exciting questions.

- Dropped Lex (and a table, and a light saber) off at the store and took my books back to the library.

- Drove to Woodfield, tried on bridesmaids dresses for my sister's wedding next year, and put in my order. I am now the proud owner of another satin construction that requires $50-75 worth of alterations, and I will probably wear once. Or at least, I will be the proud owner sometime in January. It is screaming cornflower blue! Which...is kind of a shocking color, but at least looks decent on me. Unlike lilac, which makes me look dead unless it is the exact right shade. I'm not a very pastel girl.

- Did laundry

- Made a pot of spaghetti with homemade sauce and a pot of split pea soup with ham. These are cooling and waiting to go in the fridge and freezer now.

- Did the dishes from all that.

- Cleaned the bathrooms.

- Caught up on lots of little snively things--mail and such.

- And spent 2 hours reading a totally silly book to relax.

Still have to finish folding the laundry, but I'm pleased with what I got done today.

In other news, I need new icons. I'm sick of about half of mine.
