wednesday: FREE WORLD CUP OF HOCKEY TICKETS!
Anda and I had every intention of going to the tail gate party... we joked how it would be so hilarious if some stranger gave us free tickets or even the scalpers get pissed off because they couldnt sell their tickets by the 3rd period and gave them away for free. HOWEVER... we decided to get McDonalds at Union before the game starts and when we came back we cant take foreign food into the tailgate. so we are eating by the pick up tickets window. So we asked an ACC employee if he thinks there are any standing room only tickets for tonight. He didnt quite understand us and he's like "you have tickets for tonight, right?.... Finals are sold out" so we were like "no no no no... we dont have tickets for tonight, we wish we could" and then he motions over some middle aged guy who shows us his tickets... assuming he was a scalper.. we asked how much like 5 times and he put the tickets in our hand and just said YOU CAN HAVE THEM. FUCKING $300 TICKETS FOR FREE!!! AHHHHH!!!! we professed our love for this beautiful stranger and got into our seats and missed maybe like a minute of the first period!!! this man was out jesus and these were fabulous seats.
During intermission we went to the platinum area (working at the acc is such an advantage because you know where all the best stalking areas are located) and we got to see the entire team walk by us onto the ice and we cheered them on.
Friday: Went to the mall.. needed to buy new uniform clothes... like black pants and such.
for the first time in a zillion years... i had a great time shopping... i only spent like $100. the only reason I'm mentioning this was because in... suzy sheir I believe... I bought this really cute cord skirt... last time i checked i was still a size 9... (lol embarrasing) HOWEVER.... I tried on the 9 and it was so fucking huge... so i moved to a 7/8... lets just say i was as giddy as... well... a schoolgirl. lol
but the 7 was monsterous too.... so i had to try on every size... i almost shit my pants when i finally found a size that fit.... BRACE YOURSELF... SIZE 3!!! I bought a size 5 just to make sure I wasn't insane but I need to use the belt with it... super tres happy. but thats a one item thing and I'm still a 9 in most pants.
LAST NIGHT!!!
started off with meeting up with melanie and taras... i felt bad because i didnt understand where we were supposed to meet and we waited for super long times in the wrong spot. which in result made us miss the team canada bus. I think brad pitt was near us.. or at least thats what i heard?
well anyway... we went to FCUK.. i love that place i need to go back and buy one of those t-shirts. after we went to eat at eatons centre and melanie bought a lecavalier shirt from river city sports (psychic powers contributed to the shirt purchase..OT WINNER BIYATCH!!! LELELELELECAVALIER!) :)
at the tail gate we scored some chairs and everytime the czechs scored.. this scary old man pulled out his HUGE czech flag and waved it around... he was so funny. but i wanted to stab him with a q-tip.
i had 18 heart attacks and when it went to overtime i prepared myself to start crying again. (like the playoffs... ACC curse) BUT WE WON!!! YEAAAAHHH WE WON!!! 4-3!!! C'MON FINLAND!!
so after the game we stayed at Gate 2 with a legion of autographs hunters.. i finally got home around 12:30-1:00. sooooooooooooooooooooo

Czech Players: Tomas Kaberle, Martin Havlat, a whole bunch of other Czech guys, the funniest was when someone came out... and this teenage guy was like "can u sign my jersey?" and the jersey had the maple leaf on it and the player goes "Team Canada? ha, ha... NO!" and then he signed it anyway and laughed a lot.
Others: The guy from Canadian Idol with the curly hair, Ron McLean, Bob Cole (good last name buddy!) Borje Salming, Darcy Tucker, Mrs. Tucker, Paul Coffey + more.
TEAM CANADA!!!!!: Shane Doan, Scott Hannan, Simon Gagne, Brenden Morrow, Patrick Elias, Robyn Regehr, Jay Boumeester, Patrick Marleau, Dany Heatley (SIGNED MY TITS!!! HARDCORE!), Jose Theodore, Roberto Luongo (plus hot sexy Luongo brother) Martin St. Louis, Vincent Lecavalier, Brad Richards.
Scott Niedermayer, WADE! Redden & Joe Thornton decided to tease us by standing near the elevator yet finding some evil way to sneak out of the ACC to avoid the mob... everytime the door opened we stuck our heads in to yell at them...
and who can forget super mario!!! I TOUCHED HIS HAND!!!! Thats a big deal considering he has the protection of like 9 security guards and he refuses to sign autographs for anyone.
in conclusion: hockey is bliss, and im moving to yorkville when i get rich.
