There's a reason for history classes in grade-school through high school. Sure, it gives great stories, but it also provides lessons to be learned from the mistakes of the past.

Why do I say this now? Because it appears that NOBODY in Congress paid any attention to their history lessons.

Both countries have celebrations that utilizes kites AND fireworks for the celebrations.  Rather than comparing cultures, why not compare each country's fight for freedom?  That provides a more fair comparison.
