Weekend Update

After two weeks of absolute chaos, I made it a point not to do anything related to school or work this weekend.

Friday
I was so tired of school and work, I decided to just scan in and email my professor my take home exam. And I played hookey. A couple friends and I went out to eat then went for a meeting. (Yeah, exciting stuff.)

Saturday
In the morning, I ran errands that I've been ignoring. In the afternoon, I started my Christmas shopping. In the evening, I hung out with "The Old Crew". The original plan was to go to Penang in Chinatown. And we actually went. (Usually, even after something's decided, we spend an hour standing in the parking lot deciding if that's REALLY where we want to go. This was highly unusual.) When we got there, there was a 45 minute waiting time. So, it was decided that we go straight to Dave and Busters, since we were planning on ending up there anyway. Everyone piles back into their cars (there were 13 of us) and head to D&B. We get there to find that the wait is TWO HOURS AND FORTY-FIVE MINUTES! By then, everyone was tired of driving around, so we just hung out there. But we didn't play games or anything. We just stood there, blocking pedestrian traffic in D&B. Bore the shits out of my poor brother. I had a good time, though. I hadn't talked to most of those ppl in quite the long time. We saw Pat Croce while we were there.

Sunday
Usual Church stuff. Between the morning installment and evening installment, my brother and I went to visit my sister. While down there, we went to the local mall and bought my Mom sunglasses (Ray-Bans... it's her favorite brand.) She lost hers recently, so we figured we'd get her another one for Christmas. When we got home, it turns out that my Dad already ordered glasses for her online. D'oh. Anyway, after the evening installment of church, my brother and I headed to The Mill, and I bought myself an early Birthday/Christmas gift: A pair of Maui Jim sunglasses. I LOOOVE them!! They're so light! It's a completely different experience wearing them.

Speaking of Birthday gifts, my parents gave me my birthday gift yesterday. They gave me this beautiful black leather jacket. It's the softest leather... it feels like the skin on a baby's butt. I've been looking for something like that for awhile now. So, that's pretty cool. My brother got mad at them for giving it to me yesterday... he wanted it to be a surprise for my b-day itself. Oh, well. My family sucks at that type of stuff.

Oh... I saw the new Harry Potter movie. It was pretty good. Not the best, though. I was impressed with some of the scenes. After the movie, my brother convinced me to do donuts in the mall parking lot. With the ice on the ground from this morning's snow, it was a little scary at times, but definitely a fun time.

Anyways... that's about it.
