There are some things I don't understand. Things where I can clearly see that other people like them, and even get very excited over them, and I think they're completely useless. And I don't mean things where it is widely acknowledged that some people really like them and other don't, like romance novels or broccoli. I mean things that most people

I understand your complaints completely - with a few minor caveats :-)

1) I can do things that don't take full brain power & listen to an audio-book. For instance, while knitting or driving or such. Jane Austen, in particular, is quite good for this; we listened to Pride and Prejudice on one of our frequent drives down the coast

3) Yes, but rugs serve the same purpose, and look nice, and are easier to clean. You can take a rug and hang it on the back porch and beat the bejezus out of it, or hit it with the hose (or the pressure washer), and actually get it clean. Carpets just stay on the floor collecting allergens

Good to hear that the hair is growing back nicely. For the rice, try the wild rice mixes (particularly the darker/black ones) instead of the brown. There are a couple that are nice & nutty.
