i could have moved mountains

so despite myself i have been having a very good past few days

friday, jen and i went to the Mayan for dinner. Good mexican food, men jumping off cliffs in leopard print loincloths, and a fat guy dressed as a monkey harrassing little children. i don't think restaurants get much better than that. then we went home and i made everyone watch Whale Rider, and well... i enjoyed it.

saturday i hung out with my italian friends and we watched italian movies and ate italian pizza (ok i lied. it was from little cesars). but those days will be missed. then jen, sarah and i went ice blocking at the park despite the drizzle and had that wonderful, immature, my butt is cold, kind of fun. then we went to see Hotel Rowanda at the dollar theater with the guys. i pretty much cried the whole way through and despite what you all might think, i do not cry at movies. so good.

best part of the night; there was this free dance going on in Heritage. i hate dances, but i like free food (especially chocolate and strawberries and cocktail weiners!) so we went to D.I. (the mormon's value village) and got pretty much the ugliest dresses we could find. yeah, they were pretty dang ugly. i might put pictures up later. then we grabbed the guys and headed over. we ate. we danced like flipping idiots and pointed and laughed at all the dumb girls in their prom dresses. but the best part was that it for some reason had a pirate theme and so there were goldfish in bowls on each of the tables. poor little things, they were probably going to flush them at the end of the night. of course something had to be done. something like us running through a crowd of people with a fish in a papercup and 80's dresses. let me tell you, it was hot. we named it pike, after the whale rider in, well, whale rider. now it sits in a mason jar by a dying lilly plant on the corner of our kitchen table.

sunday, prank war. it is on. i will tell you about all that wonder later, but sufficeth to say, we are winning.

monday oh glorious be the day. for i saw wayne, and we had words one with another for an amount of time that is perfectly sufficent to make one (being me) float on clouds for days. and i think he is coming over tomorrow. i think. i hope. went to the canyon and did an astronomy project with Tiff.

tuesday, guys came over. so of course i got nothing done (including my six page art history paper).

wednesday, last day of classes. not that sad about many of them. italian i will miss with all my heart because it is pretty much my third family (my family being my first, and my roommates and the guys being the second). our corner will never be again. and half the people are doing study abraod next semester so they won't be in 201. poops! got my paper done at the very last second.

and now we are planning our party night. going up to the canyon with the guys to lay on blankets and look at stars. then hit up denny's at 2 a.m. (jason will be happy). then dance party in the kitchen at 4 a.m. then maybe some talking and some reading, probably some crossword puzzles in there somewhere. short nap on the couch, and then up by 10.

people:can she do it? she better!
