I work, work, work all day long. I work, work, work while I sing this song. Then I realize I’ve been researching and writing for the five hours on the wrong topic. @#*%
Today was a bad pain day but I got to snuggle with my new semi-functional heating pad and I got to get a lot of work done (which turned out to be entirely pointless). Fantastic.
Tonight though, we went out with my brother, soon-to-be sister-in-law, mom and dad for their 32nd anniversary. It was really, really nice. We had a good time - even though the kids were still awake when we got home. Mmmm.
Oh and, I started Pro-Activ the other day. It actually works BUT I totally didn’t think about how I never use anything liked that and I totally burned my face off with the benzoyl peroxide. It’s cool, it’s not noticeable or bad, I should have been aware.
Pro-Activ peeps just told me to take a break for a couple days and ease back into it slowly. My major mistake was that I was using this “renewing mask” super heavy thinking it was like lotion which would help alleviate my burning face - nope, it has a high dosage of benzoyl peroxide so, by using it so heavily, I was totally saying f-u face, I hope you die.
Like having to use Pro-Activ when you are 27 isn’t bad enough, now I feel like I’m wearing a mask of dry skin. Great.
On a good note, some on my long time LJers know that, at times, I am slightly hair obsessed. Well, I took a picture the other day of my hair growth in the last year - 4”! And I was trimming, yay! At this rate, I’ll hit my goal in… six to seven years? Ha!
I am taking part in a little challenge though. There is a semi-proven theory that your hair grows faster in the spring. Now, I know from pictures that my hair grew a butt-load over the winter, but I am trying to wear my hair up every single day until summer. The hope is nice protected hair which means longer hair.
So far I’ve been doing it for 11 days and my hair is super soft and shinny. I also have another goal to wear my hair covered while outside in the summer. This will really, really help. Who knows if anything will help but I do know my hair is now sans-layers so I’d like to avoid cutting off damage from the summer.
So, I can’t wait to go to sleep but I really don’t want to wake up because I’m going to have to work on my paper all over again. Ick.
