First Day
I might eat these words in a few weeks, but so far I really really really like my job. Yeah, it was the only first day but I just get such a good vibe from the place. I spent the morning learning how to fill out documents and other such things that only a virgo (or someone else really into organizing) would enjoy. Then I took a test on it and got 100%!
For some brilliant reason, there's a soul food restaurant on the 2nd floor of the building, so I had lunch in there with my supervisor. Yum-o (a la Rachel Ray)!
The rest of the afternoon, I learned more about my job, made a few phone calls, and met other people in the department.
I just feel so...prepared for this job and it's a great feeling.
If only Abdel was here to share this hotel room with me, then life would be AMAZING!
Things to look forward to: Thursday, I have to get an Indiana license so I can get my company car! After that, I'll spend the afternoon setting up my office. Tomorrow (I think) I'll get my email address and laptop. Then I'll meet with the lady who's been filling in for my counties while my position was open.
