First of all, Happy Birthday to Me.  Twenty Five is for real!

This has been a great birthday - I got a CAT from my man, a bracelet from my parents, and air freshener from my brother :P  Don is committed to practical gifts, so I shouldn't have been surprised to get a box of air wicks, but I was.  But it's all good because Rhonda's litter box demands air freshener.

So yeah - Rhonda.  She is a great addition to our family.  She's 3 years old and has energy and is friendly, but not so much that she's knocking over plants and getting on our nerves.  The two of us went to the pet store today to get cat stuff and the cashier recognized her from the Humane Society flyer - she's like a celebrity!

Otherwise, I spent most of the day lounging on the couch.  It's been a low key day, but a very good one.  Abdel made a DELICIOUS dinner of linguine and capers (my favorite meal) and finished with an ice cream cake.  Yum!

A few months ago, when I joined sparkpeople.com, I set a weight loss goal of 120 pounds by my birthday.  Well, um...that didn't happen :\  My weight is fluctuating as usual and I'm still around 135....which isn't terrible but it's not where I want to be.  But really, it's not about losing weight.  I just know that to lose weight I'll have to exercise and that's what I really need.  I have little to no energy lately and it's terrible.  Despite the number of days I've spent doing nothing, I don't really like being lazy.  So once I start my job, I'm going to join this gym that offers jazzercise classes.  In Louisville, they aired jazzercise classes on the local channel and I always had fun doing it in my living room....and I'm sure it'd be more fun in the actual class.  I might do one of the trial classes tomorrow ... but we'll see.

Anyway, I need to get back to ignoring the football game.
