“The last one I want to speak first is CTV”

Yeah I'm going to harp on about this, because I think it's relevant to Liberal leadership.

Dion is missing. This is the last known video of Monsieur Dion as he exits the bldg. CTV has become the post-election battleground for the Liberals ( Read more... )

Maybe the Liberals should have taken a Conservative approach.
Pre-screen questions, or simply refuse to do any interviews.

I agree. It's certainly safest.

Perhaps the Dion should take a page from Harper and sue CTV.

Perhaps. But it would just re-enforce that irresponsible nature of Liberals to blame others when the fault clearly lays within.

Um, but this logic doesn't apply to Harper?

Sure it does. Courts decide fault. That's exactly what courts do.

So the best way for Dion to stop you from blaming him is to sue CTV, so that the courts will decide fault. Because apparently the courts deciding fault mean that you no longer have an opinion on who's to blame.

Or, alternatively, you want to express blame for Dion for his behaviour, and you're doing so. But you don't want to express blame for Harper for his, so you're using the fact that the courts are going to deliberate it as an excuse not to apply the same logic to Harper as you are to Dion.

Harper uses law suits to exert, weld and maintain power. Harper accepts whatever fault the court decides, even if he does so reluctantly.

Dion has cast blame, welds little power and has taken no responsibility thus far. Dion is "...but a walking shadow, a poor player, that struts and frets his hour upon the stage and then is heard no more..."

It's much easier to accept fault once the election is finished and you are no longer able to be held accountable by the voters.

I don't think the Liberals have enough spare cash lying around to blow it on pointless lawsuits.
