So wow.

I really don't have anything new to add about Heath Ledger. I just feel I need to acknowledge it. Besides, most people have better expressed how I felt upon hearing the news: shock, unbelievable and utterly surprising and unexplanable shock. It is incredibly, terribly sad.

I was so excited to see The Dark Knight. I'd watched the trailer and I was ( Read more... )

I know, it's terrible. I can't imagine how Michelle Williams is dealing with all this, or either of their families for that matter.

Truly. I'm not with the Father of my child anymore, but I would be devastated if he passed.

I am so glad that everyone came around. I know a lot of people thought that Heath Ledger wouldn't work, and I ran around assuring everyone for months and months that it would. A lot of people told me that I was just saying that because I thought he was attractive, but I had to assure them that maybe I did think he was quite a looker, and he was, but that only meant that I'd been watching his movies for years and I'd seen most of them and knew he was talented and that he could play any part he wanted, and that he would neither get himself in over his head in his acting, because when has he ever pulled off a bad performance? I was surprised to hear he was part of the Bob Dylan biopic -- I'd heard about it, but his name hadn't popped up.

You've captured a lot of what I've been thinking these past few days. He really was an actor who had come into a wider range of skill, and I think that it would have only kept growing.

It still strikes me as totally unbelievable, like this shouldn't have happened, and that I shouldn't have to believe it.

I agree. As upset as it makes me, I still keep expecting him to pop up from behind a house plant and yell, "Ha ha! The reason the autopsy is inconclusive is because it's an android who looks exactly like me, and he doesn't have real human organs because he's only a robot!" I'm still pretty convinced that this is what's gonna happen.
